So we got 3 text editors that look the same and have the same shortcut keys and work the same. One is based on Python and the other two are based on Node and Webkit. Sublimes the original but it costs money and so lol it's out of the running... Atom is made by the sexists at github and works alright I guess. Can't open big files though (crashes). Visual Studio can open big files and is almost exactly like Atom. So I guess it's the winner??

vim is the default so if you dont use it you're a special baby that needs software installed to talk to systems just use vim because it's the easiest and most widely deployed

sublime opens fastest so i use it for general text editing. export EDITOR='subl -w' bitches vscode has better integration for .net langs and rust, and seeing that's what i mostly code i use it for my programming
