Problem description: I live up in the mountains, and my DSL sucks big time, yet I have a 4G LTE signal up here, so I got a USB modem from verizon so I can at least watch some youtube video's and the like. I have a desktop in my bedroom and a laptop in the living room. I use the modem on both, and it's always just worked about a minute after I plug it in (I have to disable my ethernet/wifi connection to get it to use the modem, but once I do that it has always worked fine. As I understand it, windows has a hard time using two internet connections at once). Yesterday I plugged it in on the laptop and it didn't work. Currently if I press the internet connections button (?) on the task bar on the bottom right of the screen, it says identifying, No Internet. I don't know what it looked like in device manager when it was working, but it is listed under modems in device manager, and there's something connected to it under network adapters listed as Remote NDIS Compatible Device #3 (That number started at 1, and has gone up each time I installed/re-installed the verizon drivers). The verizon dashboard app says the modem is connected, but windows says no internet.

Attempted fixes: Tried installing the Verizon dashboard (which includes drivers). I had not done so before, as the modem just worked. Also, tried removing and re-inserting the SIM card in the modem. Have also tried removing the drivers and re-installing them.

Recent changes: Not a drat thing, I have no clue why it suddenly stopped working.

Operating system: Laptop: Windows 10 Home, Desktop: Windows 7 Pro, both 64 bit.

System specs: Laptop is a MSI MS-1782. Intel core I76700HQ @ 2.6 Ghz.DXDiag says 24 GB RAM, and a GeForce 980m. Modem is a verizon MiFi 4G LTE USB U620l.

Location: Arizona, USA

I have Googled and read the FAQ: Yes, and tried verizon support, but as this seems to be a windows issue (the modem works on the desktop), they were unable to help.

You can close the thread, issue has been resolved. I tried using my LTE ipad to use my verizon data on this computer, and that didn't work, either. In fixing that issue, it also fixed the usb modem. The command that did it was under cmd prompt, runas admin:
netsh int ip reset reset.log hit
