Keep in mind also that the 8th specifically is gerrymandered as hell. I mean, look at this poo poo:

That practically screams "This is designed to be an R seat forever"

If Schrier gets 45% that would be amazing, blue wave or not.

Do you mean how the district is drawn? Sure, it's not as bad as some of those districts in Ohio or wherever where like a single city block connects two rich zip codes or something. However, compared to the rest of Washington's districts, it sticks out like a sore thumb.

It's almost as if this is all symptomatic of some larger problem, but I can't quite put my finger on it.

All of this should be an object lesson in why Seattle, and Washington state at large, are not really all that "liberal", at least from a governmental structure and funding framework perspective. The quintessential Seattle liberal will happily take an Uber to Pride or Folklife while passing by 15 homeless encampments and voting against raising their property taxes by 0.001%.

Cashman and Ciscoe are among the few remaining vestiges of Weird Seattle and we must do whatever we can to protect and preserve them.

That depends. If we have Bell riots do we also get the scarcity-free space communism future?

Yes, of course!

Unfortunately we still have to get the nuclear near-annihilation first.
