Yeah the deal they signed with Versus was a turd, but it's still far more money than they'll make on a standalone streamlined no service. Racing fans are generally pretty old, which makes online streaming an even worse idea.

1993 was the first year I remember watching the entire 500. I definitely watched the Little Al vs. Goodyear battle at the end of the 1992 race, and probably caught bits and pieces of races before that.

I like how passing, while still possible, was more challenging this year, whereas it seemed like in the last couple of years it was very very easy to get a huge run and pass. Took real balls and some great outside moves to pass cars towards the end of this race.
