Ma'am, I'm regrettably unable to attend the 3pm meeting you have scheduled. As you are well aware, core hours are from 9pm to 3pm. Any extension in billable hours must receive direct, written authorization from my Program Manager and the COR before I may exceed my allocation of hours. They have been CC'ed on this exchange for visibility and to answer any specific questions you may have.

Getting to send messages like this to midlevel officers that have never worked with contractors is one of the best parts of my job. It's like a once a year thing.

Sounds like someone isn't a team player.

As a contract in real life, when I was mobilized few of the officers understood anything about contracts and would just get huffy when I tried to explain why we didn't want to do something that would breach contract. Hang all officers, imo.

I thought going during the week would work too but went on a random Wednesday and it was packed. Was really weird.

Been thinking about all the Bond villains I have watched recently.
A certain few stood out as icons of GIP, other Bond villains are way too healthy & well-adjusted to qualify as GIP icons.

Goldfinger, Senile grandpa(Spy who loved me), Drax (moonraker), and most of the Blofields(OnlyLiveTwice/Diamonds/Spectre) fit GIP exceptionally well.
Dr No has the VA quality medical prosthetics but is just too 1960's to fit in, Jaws has the Veteran Affairs dental work but is a mere recurring henchman.
Sean Bean & Christopher Walken have the attitude & rage to fit in, but are obscenely healthy & superfit and are therefore disqualifed under MedSep rules.

The quadruple agent villain in For Your eyes is simply just a 2016/2017 Trump cabinet member, and to this day, it is impossible to label the Live & let die villain because mother of god,
voodoo worship as enforcement cover + that scheme to Monopoly corner the US heroin market + every single bad guy in Live & let die being black is just dogbutton: .
Only Roger Moore could have pulled off Live & Let Die, othe Bond actors would have been super :stare: .

Matt Mira and Matt Gourley do a great podcast that just came back called James Bonding. The first iteration they watched alternating from oldest, Dr. No, to newest, at the time Quantum. They are revisiting the films again with some other subjects in between like this episode of ranking the Bond Villian's Deaths http://www.earwolf.com/episode/episode-052-villain-deaths-ranked/

Peter Benchley, the author of Jaws, later dedicated himself to ocean conservation (specifically shark preservation) after he felt guilt about helping to craft the narrative that Great Whites were mindless killing machines. In a later book, he describes going wreck diving in South Africa or Australia, coming around the bow of a sunken ship and finding himself face to face with a huge Great White. The shark was apparently so startled that it freaked out and swam off in the opposite direction, but not before making GBS threads a huge cloud of digested seal and fish that engulfed Benchley.

That is a loving great story.
