Vasudus posted:Ma'am, I'm regrettably unable to attend the 3pm meeting you have scheduled. As you are well aware, core hours are from 9pm to 3pm. Any extension in billable hours must receive direct, written authorization from my Program Manager and the COR before I may exceed my allocation of hours. They have been CC'ed on this exchange for visibility and to answer any specific questions you may have. Sounds like someone isn't a team player. As a contract in real life, when I was mobilized few of the officers understood anything about contracts and would just get huffy when I tried to explain why we didn't want to do something that would breach contract. Hang all officers, imo.

I switched Verizon to Google Fi and have been super happy with my Pixel XL and Fi. Was able to get voice/data from Afghanistan to Europe to Stateside at regular cost. Would recommend unequivocally.

Just talk to your unit Special Security Representative (SSR) and they'll put your travel in the system. When you get back be sure to tell/send an email saying nothing happened or if something did happen. Easy peasy.

You'd have to get a State Department TS clearance (yes, even if you already have a DoD TS). If I wasn't much married and just back from a reserve mobilization, I would totally be down

Around this area, premium tends to run $3.75 and Costco always has it for $2.99 or less, so I'll accept the long wait. I thought going during the week would work too but went on a random Wednesday and it was packed. Was really weird.

I HAVE GOOD AIDS posted:Peter Benchley, the author of Jaws, later dedicated himself to ocean conservation (specifically shark preservation) after he felt guilt about helping to craft the narrative that Great Whites were mindless killing machines. In a later book, he describes going wreck diving in South Africa or Australia, coming around the bow of a sunken ship and finding himself face to face with a huge Great White. The shark was apparently so startled that it freaked out and swam off in the opposite direction, but not before making GBS threads a huge cloud of digested seal and fish that engulfed Benchley. That is a loving great story.
