This starts off with a good message, discouraging people from screaming "burn in hell" at the recently deceased in judgment and spite, and maybe even that bit about praying in the public square to flaunt one's faith, but then it ends up being that whole "deeds will not save you" Jack Chick thing again, instead.

Not that this sentiment really breaks new ground but I'm really loving sick of the "boy 2016 sure sucked!" excuse for a joke being so endlessly regurgitated. There was a rant to this effect on The Worst Things for Sale -- it got a little too into the topic but expressed a similar sentiment.quote:It’s not that this calendar year was unarguably wonderful, taken overall or as a collection of independent events. It’s just that repeating something over and over causes it to become worthless, in the way that saying “newspaper” a hundred times in a row will leave you wondering if you’re saying the syllables in the right order, concentrating on the movements of your throat and tongue rather than the meaning of the word. Everyone's been hopping on this train, from random YouTube commenters to Twitter personalities, but just for the sake of relevancy, let's assume you're a nationally syndicated cartoonist. You have the power to reach, with your words, an audience so vast that an uncountable many people would envy your voice. You could say something profound, but instead let's just go with "gosh 2016 was so bad!!" Nailed that one. Great job.

Good thing "free stuff" is only a strawman cheer you use to mock your opponents and has never been an actual rallying cry for democratic voters. Ah yes, James Comey, well known for his love of Hillary Clinton, whom he will defend at all costs. I do so enjoy these cartoons posted from loving Bizarro World.

White people are only being racist because black people are being racist first. Also, racism is actually good. But black people shouldn't be racist, because it makes white people racist. But black people are bad and racism is good, for white people. Also racism didn't exist until BLM. But if it did, which it didn't, it would be okay. White people are an oppressed minority who must rise up and fight for equality, but also black people are not and should not. When will the white straight Republican male get a fair shake in this country??

I mean I've already seen the argument multiple times that this is BLM's fault for stirring up anti-white rhetoric so to such critics an official connection isn't even necessary. Black people are only unhappy with white people because other black people are telling them to be. There are no other reasons black people might be angry.

Do you think Garrison will ever address issues in a future comic, or was the Trump win just too much self righteous smugness for him to handle and now he's permanently stuck doing "ha ha ha look at all the crying babies" comics? Like in three years Trump could declare war with Alaska or some zany poo poo and Garrison would still be drawing ugly women that have tattoos crying about how Trump beat Hillary.

I hate the mentality of "everyone hates me so I must be doing SOMETHING right! " that goes hand in hand these days with "I upset/offended someone, that proves I'm right!" Everyone hates cancer, smallpox, and Hitler too, you waste of paper. World Famous W posted:"I don't know, have you stopped being one?" These are people who realize they're being called racist and don't like it, but their solution is not to look inside themselves and try to become better people, even if they don't like what they find -- it's to just tell everyone calling them that to shut up. With political backing, if necessary. We don't need to get rid of racism, we just need to get rid of people who point it out!

So we've got a posit that: 1. Until Trump's Executive Order Muslim Ban, there was no vetting, period (or that this is what Democrats wanted). 2. A border wall is an effective way of keeping out illegal immigrants, and without one we are vulnerable. 3. "Come on in" is a statement that goes against American values. This isn't just a twisted talking point trying to burn the other side, this is what some people literally believe.
