People keep saying stuff like this but I've never heard an example of an indoor pest that a spider might kill that is worse than the spider itself

What, do you have a horsefly infestation inside your home or something? Why are literal arachnids part of your pest-control setup, are you a Halloween witch?

sorry for the anti-spider hot take, guys, but I'm virulently racist against all members of the arachnid family

In Florida you can be a neat freak who keeps their house clean as hell and there is always like a 40% chance you'll look down at some point and a giant cockroach will be on you. It's startling to find a huntsman spider in your house at night but it's better than a roach crawling out of the cereal box while you're pouring yourself a second bowl

edit haha, beaten on the huntsman by someone on the other side of the world where they're even bigger

Right, in Ramirez fashion the front of the ship should have been labeled "tolerance," "diversity," or "not putting them in camps," and the big part of the ship that's going to destroy the bridge should have been "radicalization."

Title is: First Gentleman of Luxembourg, Who’s Married to World’s Only Openly Gay Prime Minister, Poses With Spouses of World Leaders.

I do love that photo, but isn't it lovely to say he's "posing with the spouses of world leaders" when he himself is also the spouse of a world leader, something that's pointed out in the caption? I can't tell if it's being shittier to him or the women there but it's weird to separate them. Maybe if it just said "other spouses of world leaders," or just sort of subtly pointed it out in the 'from left to right' bit that usually accompanies group shots like this. I don't normally worry this much about this sort of thing.

I have no clue what the intended message is supposed to be, so I'm deliberately choosing to (probably mis) read this as "the Dems' moral victories have been empty, but 'Republican moral victories' is a category that doesn't exist."

I think he's definitely saying the Dem's moral victories are empty, he's just comparing them to the actual gains made by Republicans. I would have tried to make the "moral victories" column an exploding thermometer or something equally ridiculous to highlight just how little those victories ultimately mattered, but that might have muddied it further.
