Honestly the Manga is just way better than the Anime adaptations, both for its highly detailed art, and because it doesn't gently caress around with the story order. The anime definitely hasn't aged well, either.

This, especially since the manga has pretty great detail put into the art. The show basically skips the first arc of the manga, which basically sets you up before the flashback to know things are gonna end on a horrific note. The old anime also doesn't show you the resolution to the god hand scene, so you basically just assume: "And then they all died. The End."

Jaco was sent to Earth to find and kill Goku. He's on lookout for the space pod, while Tights is hanging out with him. She asks him about his costume, and he reveals that it's his skin. Not noticing any genitalia, she asks "Wait, then where do you pee from...?" at which point he squirts out piss from these pinholes on both sides of his forhead, splashing it on Tight's face, and, non-surprisingly, she pushes Jaco off the cliff into the sea below, the exact moment at which Goku's space pod whisks by though the air, undetected, so Tights indirectly saved Goku's life on that day.
