I think there's a few parts in Bloodborne better than Tower Of Latria, but for sure one thing they have lost is the mundanity of the King's Field style level design. Tower of Latria, the mines and Boletaria Palace feel less like videogame level segments and more like built-out complete spaces, but not in a lame open world kind of way. It's not to the degree that S.T.A.L.K.E.R. is designed, which has whole, complete structures that have nothing in them but scenery and only function as landmarks, but still.
