Ended 2016 with My Cousin Vinny (went right up to the ball dropping), started 2017 with Vampire's Kiss, followed by some ultra low budget British haunted hotel movie from that Bizarre TV channel Dickeye recommended. No idea what it was called, but an angry man punched through a girl who turned out to be a ghost so she threw him through the wall, and then the protagonists trapped her by throwing a fishing net and a smoke bomb at her.

CelticPredator posted:Because I want to own the real thing, not a pretty good bootleg. For what it's worth, the copy that streaming sites use is definitely not the lovely edit with the insane comic-panel transitions. MacheteZombie posted:Dammit, not surprised though. I mean, from what I remember that was the point of that edit. Tarantino specifically made a cut to exist in home-media formats (TV screens, phones, tablets, whatever) and then a big stupid ostentatious cut to only exist in a big stupid ostentatious medium. Jenny Angel posted:Hey can anyone recommend some good cooking games? I'm one of the best Overcooked players in the whole wide world so obviously I love that, but all its recipes are super simple, with the challenge being more about managing co-op coordination in all the offbeat kitchen designs. I'm looking for something more based around larger numbers of recipes, more ingredients and processes involved in the recipes, etc. Something that I can play to sorta get myself into a soothing rhythm of memorized patterns to make a perfect lasagne or such I tried a cooking game once, but I found it half-baked

I haven't really been updating the thread with my personal poo poo but update: Still having a kid, but the kid's breech right now. They tried what's called version today which literally involves smooshing up the belly to try to force the kid to flip, but it didn't work, so we had to schedule a c-section. So next Friday I'm gonna be a dad.
