I just realised that in a lot of ways (especially politically) Al-Andalus is like OTL Belgium, only the game hasn't been spamming strikes at us caused by our horrible voting system and massive exploitation of what I imagine would be quite a radicalised industrial working class.

In retrospect, in a lovely hell world with even fewer states being even nominally democratic it's not exactly surprising that the fascists did better than expected. gently caress you, though, Russia. Without them loving with Austria things could have been totally different and they didn't even do a decent job of slowing down the loving French.
