Yeah you can cut off that pony tail part of the beard and green stuff that foot to a rock and it'll look better while not sacrificing the action of the model.

I picked up Gangs of Commoragh and the system is actually pretty clean and simple. If they use the campaign rules for Necromunda and Mordheim it could fix a lot of problems people had with the first editions.

Gangs still level up and gain new gear, but each game has a point cost and better gear and models cost more and special skills can only be used once a match for each time the model has the skill.

I thought ogres could play for a couple of different teams, that's why its one of the few big guys they're doing in plastic.

Don't know if this is the right place to ask but; has anyone played Gangs of Commorragh? How does it play?
I was trying to find some vids on youtube and the only two I found, that had gameplay, were dull as hell to listen to.

Play pretty good, all rolls are done with 2d6 for greater stat variation and instead of rolling to wound after a successful hit you roll to kill. If you succeed the model is dead and removed, if you fail it takes a wound. Models don't have a max wound stat but for every wound they have they get -1 to pilot rolls and +1 to your opponents kill rolls. Makes it a faster, deadlier game without the 'we rolled all these dice and nothing happened' that 40k has.

No you're not, models already holding a ball is one of the more common complaints I've heard about this edition. This one is a little more egregious since it doesn't really make a lot of sense if you use him for a team without goblins. I guess you can paint the goblin as a ref to make it a funny little tableau but I think GW is just kind of over correcting over the concern that they have to make the new models exciting to get people that have been playing the game for 20 years to buy new models.

Apparently it's a really good skirmish game and the AI zombie rules were good enough that they got ported into Deadzone for some solo and campaign missions. It's also selling really well and has fully justified Mantic pursuing it by this point. Zombies sell. It's ridiculous.

Yeah it's a good game, and the skirmish side is basically everyone forms a band of survivors competing for supplies. The biggest downside is that, because of the licensing agreement, they can't just make generic dude models. Everyone has to be a character from the comics. It was apparently a several week back and forth to get the okay to include a zombified Ronnie model as a kickstarter exclusive.

You can check eBay for Mantic's Battlezones, the aesthetic doesn't quite match up with 40k pieces but I'm hoping a unified color scheme would help pull it together. I'm planning to not intersperse it, have the GE stuff be the factory and the Mantic's stuff be the Hab-Block the workers live in.

Oh that's cool, I wanted to try creating a scenario featuring a plague zombie infested map using some cribbed rules from Mantic's The Walking Dead game but was worried that noice rules would penalize Cawdor too much since they typically got a lot of chain swords.

The idea is that most guns create noise, while heavy weapons and chain swords create mayhem. At the end of every turn you check each zombie against an AI priority;

Move 6" towards the nearest hanger in LoS resolve a melee combat if that puts it in range
No LoS? Move 6" to closest noice marker
Each player rolls a d6 and if the combined result is lower than the number of mayhem actions made in the game so far add the difference in plague zombies to one of the nine starting zone gaming edges.

Thought it might be a fun use of the plague zombies everyone has lying around from the Dark Imperium box. Though I do worry that putting a penalty on shooting might infairly disadvantage Escher gangs.

GW was gaining ground in non-English speaking countries so when they launched GM they translated it to Portuguese, Italian, French, Spanish and German and printed up distinct versions for each country. The problem being, when you do that, you can't shift inventory based on demand. If they sold through their German printing they couldn't just ship some over from Italy where the game tanked and because they had so much capitol invested in the different language versions they couldn't really afford to resupply countries that ran out. They were losing so much money storing these boxes that they ended up just giving them away to anyone that subscribed to White Dwarf for a year.

I may be giving GW too much credit, but I think they mean the expansion will be the only place to get the physical tactics cards. The FAQ says the books will have the full rules for all the factions. Like how the codexes have all the tactics for the army but you can still buy a pack of the army tactics.

I was ambivalent about he game but I might pick up the rulebook since the FAQ mentions the teased Rogue Trader game being an expansion for Kill Team.

It’s not that, GW has tiered incentives for bulk purchases. Your LGS that’s ordering like 5 copies making maybe $30 a purchase on a box game like Killteam. A big store with the warehousing and national exposure can afford to order the larger distributor tier of product. They might only make $10-15 per copy after discounts but if you’re selling 200+ units that is less of an issue.
