Space Hulk isn't going none-limited edition just yet. Word on the street is there's some weird legal stuff going on behind closed doors that's interfering. For those who care about BB, here's an article with some info on this Blitzmania Global League they're running from Feb, as well as some nice pics of the Dwarf starter team: https://www.warhammer-community.com/2017/01/09/global-blood-bowl-league-and-dwarfs/ Also Silver Tower is pretty drat good, but a expansion with some new tiles and random encounters would be nice. Being able to use pretty much any character from WFB/AoS has extended the replayablity, but only so far.

All existing models. Dorf Engineer, Dark Elf Fleetmaster, High Elf Swordmaster and Sigmarine Castellant. More curious about what enemy models they're chucking in there. There's Blightkings, Blood Reavers, Acolytes and a Sorcerer on the box, if they chuck in the multi-part kits that'd be kinda crazy good for value.

Wouldn't surprise me if some of the design for GoC was a test-run for updating Necromunda/Mordheim. Having the murderpack mechanic/individual dudes having a price thing really helps prevent snowballing.

Forge World's got a BB Rat Ogre on the way for the end of the month. Maybe it's just the poor angle, but I think I'll stick to the plastic Isle of Blood/Spire of Dawn dudes. This one isn't doing it for me.

From today's spoiler on Warham Community: Looks like another boxed game on the way. I can't place the skull though, it looks like a 'Stealer skull, but I've seen some Dark Elves skulls stylised similarly to that.

Let's be fair, that's not even Nagash's fourth(?) body at the time of End Times and that model. He's chewed through two more since AoS. At some point you get the urge to try out new styles, like chin-spines, shoulder tentacles and over-compensating hats.

GW announced some sort of new boxed game line, Underworlds. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=20NpoQtr9n8 No information on it yet, but supposedly it's launching with a full organised play system in place and is supposedly designed to be more competitive. Hints at some spoilers of new models over the next few days.

Could see Daemons being done as Special Operatives for God specific Chaos lists. Guaranteed Death Guard will get a list when their new toys come out, ones for Daemonkin and Thousand Sons also likely. Sisters are more likely than a pure Daemons list, if only because it'll pacify the die-hards that reply to every Facebook post the Community guys make with SISTERS WHEN.

The Genestealer list seems more suited to Necromunda Gangs. Still would need adjustment of course, but suits that under-equiped, guerella warfare niche more than the Guard list.

Think I've finalised my list for my SW campaign tomorrow. I'm repurposing some Cultists I never did anything with, so my choices are probably not the most competitive or w/e. Neophyte Leader: 165pts Autogun, Chainsword Neophyte Heavy: 155pts Grenade Launcher (Frag) Neophyte Heavy: 155pts Grenade Launcher (Frag) Neophyte Heavy: 285pts Mining Laser, Photo-Visor Neophyte Trooper: 80pts Autogun Neophyte Trooper: 80pts Autogun Neophyte Trooper: 80pts Autogun Total: 1000pts Hopefully my Grenade boys won't repeat their performance in my practice games and jam their sodding guns after the first shot. Whole lotta wasted points they were. Edit: Forgot the points totals.

Really looking forwards to making an kill-team of Inquisitorial weirdos. Probably the greatest potential to go nuts converting out of all the official gangs. Speaking of SW:A, played the second round of my local campaign today. Played GC against Skitarii and completely wiped the floor with the Cogboys. I was a little nervous at first and blew a point to grab a Purestrain for this game, but looking back I would have been fine without them. Opponent played way to cautious and let me grab two of the four loot counters before he even got a shot off, rest of the game was my Cultists laying down the pressure as my Shotgun lads and Purestrain pushed them back to their own board edge before downing all but one dude in a single round of shooting. Postgame was crazy, won 300pts worth of requisition (100 for playing, 150 due to Hidden Cache being rolled for both of us, 50 due to Scavengers) and went nuts bulking out my squad. Considered a Seismic Cannon, but my Mining Laser seems to be good enough at vaporising anything that gets in range.

Apparently there was talk around Warhammer Fest of Ogres being sooner than people thought, supposedly the design team had some kind of bolt of inspiration in updating them/giving them new player roles so that's a surprise. I mean, I'm still surprised we're getting Halflings next after Elf Union.

Yeah I don't get it either.

Zuul the Cat posted:No, he also specifically said we aren't allowed to play it in store. Not even pick up games. Yeah like... that's weird. Ultimately it's down to the manager but every regional manager I know would smack him for not allowing a currently supported game to be played in store.

I'm just shocked the Escher girls look so good, I was dreading some Infinity-style cocktease nonsense but these two look pretty badass.

I'm just looking for a quick filler for the group. $50 is a bit pricey for what you get in the box, I think, but other than that, it looks pretty easy to pick up... It's alright, really does need 4 players to get the most out of it. Funnily enough, Shadespire seems to be cribbing bits of it's ruleset so it might be a good way to ease into that way.
