Does anyone have thoughts on Warhammer Quest? I just realized that I really like all the models in the Silver Tower box, but I'd only buy it if the game is worth a few playthroughs.

Anyone in the states want to split an Escher box since it's two identical sprues? I want to build 5 gangers but not 10.

It's good in X-Wing because the movement is by templates anyway, so judging your end location is both doable and adds some skill to the game. Picking the right move to make sure you swing up next to an asteroid instead of landing right on top of it and blowing up your ship is a good example of how the game can feel pretty exciting because of that rule.

What are people's thoughts about Necromunda as a core game experience? Does it play well with just the included board and scenarios?

What do Orlocks generally play like? I haven't seen many lists of them.

Dual pistols are good. -1 accuracy for shooting two pistols but +2 accuracy for close range (which you should always be in).

How do you get +2 accuracy? Do you get to apply the short range bonus for both or something?

Arven posted:

No? I'm talking about stub guns not autopistols. -1 +2 = +1 overall. Two shots at 3+ are better than one at 2+.

Dual pistols also still grant you a bonus (albeit unarmed) bonus melee attack.

He said clan Escher, they can't take stub guns.

Overkill probably isn't the right choice for necromunda unless you absolutely have to have the aberrants or can sell the deathwatch side to make it worth it. It's all fixed poses with a duplicate of each, so it's good for filling in a GSC army but not for getting different weapons and poses. If you were going to spend that much I would just get the genestealer cults battleforce on ebay, it's a good discount on those kits when bought together.

Does anyone know if the gang cards in the base set are the same as the Escher and Goliath cards that are sold individually?

They're not, I think there's a big spreadsheet, or it's in that rules compilation. Both the generic and gang specific cards are different than what's in the box.

Ugh, no? Just compared some Primarines to some oldies and Primarine legs are way longer.

Yeah that article is really weird, he says the legs are only slightly longer but in his pictures you can see that they are like 40% longer. Most of the extra primaris height seems to be in the legs, with everything else besides the heads and shoulder pads getting slightly bulkier.

Is there a good place online to order these? I've seen bulk sites for ordering 3/16 inch magnets but not for metric ones.

I've bought the tiny blister packs before but they seem like terrible value.

Whether a team is under FW or not doesn't seem to matter, the shadespire releases have been amazing in every way. If anything the main lines need to take a lesson from how much value you can fit into a $30 box like the shadespire warbands.

Seems legit; the Goliath fluff in the Necromunda rulebook has them growing larger than space marines due to heavy steroid usage.

That would make sense but aren't space marines themselves on like the equivalent of so much steroids that they literally grew an extra heart?

Also, looks like GSC and Skitarii. gently caress. I was hoping for either just a book release or a release with two armies I don't care about. I was looking forward to not having to spend anything until AT comes out...

They say in the article that the core book will be available separately.

Necromunda seems awesome but I'm wary of it because there are probably a few really broken options that I should be aware of if my friends and I were to start a campaign. I heard a lot about grenade launchers being overpowered for the points, is that still the case?

Annoyed. If the octarius box had the compendium in it, it'd be an instant buy for me. I have enough dudes from various factions around to make a few kill teams, making more of those is a lot more appealing than going full size 40k, I'm ok with the DKoK but the Kommandos look fantastic.

The book being the extra on top of the box is rubbing me really badly. I know :files: are a thing but I'd prefer not to.

e: Preorders on GW Australia just went up too.

yeah it's the worst part of what otherwise seems like an awesome new edition. 100 bucks for the rules alone is too much, and they also want you to buy their essentials kit for the combat gauges which is another 35 bucks. I've had a hard time getting my friends excited about this

I missed this, are the original space marine kills teams modified somewhere?
