They're not gels (not the ones I have anyway), but they're so metallic you still need a sponge to avoid brush strokes. Unless you know something I don't. Anyway here are the ones I have. All but one have BP labels, none were advertised as BP, but that was a year ago. Farthest left, no number sticker, brown-green-yellow-orange Second from left, mostly green, yellow, purple, pink on the very edges Second from right, not BP, gel, brand I've seen a lot on Wish. Has galaxy sparkles, pink-purple-blue: Far right, reddish-purple to orange, galaxy sparkles: Please do not judge my crafty area TIA The BP ones were $1-$3, $1 shipping. The larger one was $5 shipped, iirc. Can't get into my old Wish account, so not sure. RE: gel out of sponges. The sponges are also from Wish so they probably can't handle it. They came with a knockoff Konad pink stamper holder. Should probably add I've tried a couple of the stamping plates from Wish. Both gave nice, crisp images. Both came with super-sharp edges. First one sliced me, I filed it down and filed the second one down before it could get me. Probably would have gotten more if they had what I wanted (the large rectangular plates) in designs I liked.

I did just get this notification: So if you have Wish, or have room for it, now might be the time. Here's one of that same non Born-Pretty brand, which is gel: http://www.wish.com/c/566bb914004e9f26b328e840 Apparently they're using "Starry Sky" instead of "galaxy" for the ones with little scattered sparkles. I've also not had any nail issues, AFAIK no one has from BP or that other brand.

Anne Whateley posted:Hey My Pale Goth Skin (or anyone), I finally decided I want a bunch of Born Pretty stamping plates. Do you know if Aliexpress, Wish, or ebay generally has the best prices & decent quality? I haven't bought knockoff plates from anywhere but Wish. It seems they're all the same, and the prices fluctuate, so I'd say go with whoever has the best prices & shipping time, tbh Reminder: both of the large rectangular stamping plates I bought via Wish came with finger-slicing sharp edges. I already have a set of small metal files for jewelry stuff, but if you're file-less, you may want to get a cheapo set (Aliexpress, Walmart, your call) just in case. I'm talking razor-sharp, I didn't know I was cut until I saw the blood. Not something you can work around. My only other stamping plates are from MoYou London, which is kinda on the other end of the spectrum, so I have no idea if it's normal for cheapo plates to slice you up. They also don't quite have the texture and detail of the MoYou plates, but they're still good, give nice crisp images. I think you were the one interested in galaxy polishes, right? I figured out how to find them on Wish. They're all called "Starry sky" polishes on there. It brings up a ton, most Born Pretty or that other brand that looks like "Argosy" or "Albatross" or whatever. I've seen the same shade sold in a 10ml bottle marked Born Pretty, and a 16ml bottle with the other logo, so I think they're the same thing. It also brings up regular holo polishes and thermal polishes and whatever else, but makes the galaxy polishes easier to find. Snowmankilla posted:I feel like this was covered, but I could not find it with Picks posts... what about nail polish? Brand appears to be irrelevant, they're all coming from the same place. I can post links if that would be helpful.

My kid loves water balloons, and I'm lazy. Same issues as the $10 ones (some slide off during filling, easier to fill in a tub of water than on the ground, etc). You know, related to design, not specific make. I just make sure he takes a bath where we're done in case they're made of lead and radiation or w/e. None of the sets we used didn't even have that cheap plastic smell, though. I'm guessing because the cheap plastic wouldn't work. I got more on the way. Do they just fill the water balloons to capacity until they get heavy and fall off like ripe fruit, held closed by those little rubber bands? Pretty neat idea if it actually works, but I guess you have to buy a ton of tiny rubber bands. They come with the rubber bands. The tube system is one-use, since the whole thing is designed to make it not take a half an hour to fill 40 balloons. You're supposed to hold the hose above the bundle, so the balloons slide off when they get so full. This doesn't even work with the $10 ones you buy in the US, because they fill at different rates, and like to not slide off and instead get too full & pop, so I've learned to A. fill them whike they're sitting in a bucket of water or our little plastic kiddie pool and B. keep an eye on them and gently shove them off of the straws/tubes as they get full. Then they just float around safely until you're ready to pack them all in a basket and go throw em around. Neurolimal posted:There's a very tight black band wrapled around the stray and the balloon stem the straw is inside, after you fill them up you pull the straw out and the bands tighten now that there isn't a plastic tube in the way. I don't know if this has been mentioned, but there are "freebies" up for grabs every day. X # of people apply, a handful are picked, they can buy the item for $0.01, and then they review it. The idea is to give sincere reviews, practically speaking, that would be sincere, but also as positive as possible reviews. The more you do so, the more freebies you get. I just applied for my daily allotment of two, so I have no idea how long it takes to get picked. Worth the chance if you have a spare few minutes to browse, there's cheap clothing and makeup brush sets and more pricey electronics and everything in between.

Half the time, tracking doesn't update after leaving China anyway (although that's gotten much better in the last year, may not be that frequent now), and after I'm told a replacement is on the way or file a dispute, I obviously stop checking tracking on the original. So I've gotten some surprises. I always imagine China post moved a pile of boxes and found some packages after however long, and just shipped them normally. But yeah, if it's not moving and you were told you'd have it by now, that's on them. Don't let then gently caress you over. Most sellers don't even wait to be asked, they just ship another package of thing as soon as they hear of a problem, because they want good reviews. Or because other sellers do that and they're trying to compete. That's how I got six pairs of shoelaces instead of two. And more 14mm round glass cabochons than I can count. It's not out of line if they ask you to wait & extend purchase protection, but it's your decision if you actually do want to wait or not.

King Vidiot posted:Those panties look prison issue Seriously, if they were a dark chocolate brown, I'd be convinced that's where the county of my one arrest got 'em Or if they came with a matching unsightly but surprisingly comfortable ur-bra If anyone sees any good cotton lady-boxers (they have longer legs than boy shorts) please post 'em, it's hard to find ones I like for a reasonable price. Target wants $15 for two and no one else carries them around here, and they're hard to find online in not-stupid colors and patterns Links to ridiculously decorative retro undies and plain tap pants are also welcome

Attention people into AE watches There are a ton of watches in the freebie section right now. Especially the newest batch. If you apply for two per day, that covers them all with a few applications to spare. treiz01 posted:I wouldn't eat out of anything from Aliexpress :/ It's probably fine, especially if you're just putting food in it and then immediately eating it, instead of storing it I mean, a lot of the dishes, cutlery, pots, and storage containers for food that you buy elsewhere is from China too I got my patches, they're better quality than I was expecting. I love how the freebie patch is probably a gently caress up, they've got the thickness of the S upside down. Also the Engrish card. The embroidering is good, the colors are vibrant. The flags have a pinky fuchsia stripe instead of a proper purple one, but they're like that in the listing, too, so I did that to myself. Haven't tried ironing them on, since I bought them for resale. I do have an old pair of jeans I may cover in patches, to sample each patch and then eventually sell the jeans on Etsy for $80. I also got the tarot bags, which have brown beads instead of black. I messaged the seller, because the beads are black in the drat listing. They gave me a "dear friend, batch variations, please see the beauty in the brown beads" response. I tried to explain the "goth" "witch" aesthetic doesn't much go for brown beads, and they told me they would tell their supplier about the "goth" "witch" aesthetic, lmao. I'll just put black beads on 'em. And customize them with charms while I'm at it.

bigfatdynamo posted:The leggings are for deadlifting anyway, so they'll be destroyed by chalk and bar rash :'( I have some actual Black Milk leggings because they're made in my town and cheap for quality leggings, these are just stand ins. I am both jealous and confused. Jealous that you don't have to pay overseas shipping, confused that they're cheap for quality leggings? Or do you mean quality unique-looking leggings? Or are my leggings crappier than I think? Help mike12345 posted:you got gay patches Yes? is that a problem? I hope not, since I also hand make jewelry with rainbow holographic shiny aspects. So it's also obviously gay as heck. Plus I'm bi Hug in a Can posted:I see the beauty in the brown beads. I mean, no, not everyone goes to plain old-school for comfort/period panties, and I don't own anything in that shade myself. But were there any unexpected explosions or car crashes when you were about to see any of your girlfriend's underwear? It's possibly that was a ploy to keep you from witnessing their asses in granny undies
