I ordered a customized medallion for a few bucks. I ordered it because I need a stainless steel plate to hold my insra360 camera which has magnet in the back. But this pendent doesn't have any magnetic property so it's probably some cheaper alloy not stainless steel. It's just 4 bucks so whatever. They even said you can send them customize photo, I guess thru the Ali chat interface.

Somebody asked about the customized stuff. These are a couple  Pendant $4 shipped. The phone# tag has the vehicle plate onn the opposite site, $2.8 shipped. Somebody mentioned heat shrink tube earlier tin the thread, I decided to give it a try. Took more than a month to get to me.  $4 shipped. Honestly I don't see any advantage over a Brother label printer with different colored labels. I only use the tubes in my specific case because my son tear away all my printed labels. But I think the final fit and finish is more amateurism than what you can achieve with a labeller.

Just get that Xiaomi band and you will see. After a couple months you won't want to wear a band on your wrist. And if you want to wear a band to measure your step count, you can do it on a phone or on a g shock. Or you don't even need to wear anything after a while cause you will get an idea how much you walk. I am not trying to talk you out of a band. It cost nothing just get one and see it yourself.

I grow up outside of US and most of the bottles are not twist open. It's pretty easy to use your house key to slowly open it. Or you can force it open on the table edge, but it may leave a mark on your wood table.

Ali watch stuff Basically Casio released a new g shock during the pandemic called ga2100. It looks like the uber fancy PA royal oak and it became a hot seller. So metal kits showed up on aliexpress that let you mod the watch to look even more like the royal oak. I already knew the metal bracelet is too heavy and big for my taste, so I only got the metal bezel version.  Here is what it looks like with the brushed metal bezel and nato strap adopter, on the right.  On the left is the a fake bootleg I also got on aliexpress for $35. I buy a lot of g shock modding accessories on ali. It's very rare to see ali sell actual bootleg with casio branding on it. I just want to get one to see what the quality is. It's okay. About 90% like the real thing. It's thicker and the glass is not scratch resistant, but the movement itself is about on par. However its glass and the bezel is glued into one piece, I can't couple the metal kit on it like the real thing. So I blacked out the branding and swapped the nato mod on it.

Last time I ordered 2 vests from Ali, I measured and read the size chart carefully but the shipped product were still one size smaller than I expect. But I only order super specialty clothes on Ali like reflective fabric. Speaking of clothing websites, my wife used to order tons of deep discount stuff on Zara during 2am because according to her Zara only does crazy discount past midnight. She also ordered multiple copies of the same clothing because Zara kept dropping the price. And then she returned like 70% of them.

But I just want to bring it up because it's my favorite. Physically button, reliable charging and pairing. Reliable hand off. It's a workhorse. It was about $35-40 for a set about 3 years ago so my experience is that with QCY mid range buds, they work very well. Top 1,2 I wanted to buy 1 to test it out but brought 2 by mistake. I think $8 each. They probably can last a whole day but not really weatherproof like it advertised on the page. So if you want the cheapest single-ear of this style, you can find one for $4-5 each. Another downside I had never considered, when I take off my mask it also takes down the bud. It doesn't happen for the smaller ones. t3, this is/was the cheapest single bud, probably $2 each. It's the cheapest one that still has a micro usb connector. Down side is the battery is too short, only 1-1.5 hour t4 touch control, pain in the rear end t5, botton control but I am not crazy for it. t6, this is my favorite. Watch out for the small oval botton shape if you want to get one yourself. Reliable, decent 3 hour battery life. No issues. Has anybody brought a good battery powered LED text scrolling panel? I brought a cheap rear end $5 one a long time ago and never got the text editing working. I think it has the wrong firmware and can't talk to my PC. I want a largeish one I can hang on back on my bicycle for group rides and stuff.

I saw a pretty over the top documentary about some Indians in a India city who are super into flying kites and do kite battles on their roof tops. They would get most of the gears from China but the wires are custom make locally with sharp glass poo poo so its easier to cut other people's kite wires. That was before Modi banned aliexpress so I have no idea where they are smuggling the gears from.
