Everything about that picture makes me want to buy one though

Bought this $257 programmer from Aliexpress because I need to program some 64M-bit flash proms and none of the sub-$100 programmers can do them.

I expected a bootleg but so far it seems to work just fine in Xeltek's progamming software. I'm glad I'm only out $257 instead of $500+ for my dumb gay arcade hobby. Also It was shipped DHL and only took 4 days to get here!!!

lol that thing has to be fake as hell, guess they were able to clone the hardware perfectly enough that the software can't tell the difference

although https://www.xeltek.com.cn appears to be a real working page so who knows

Also to go all Pinterest Mom about Dollar Tree, if you want a really cheap handmade gift that requires not a lot of actual artistic skill you can cut stencils out of vinyl contact paper and use glass etching cream to burn whatever you want onto their mugs (which are sturdy as gently caress) and wine glasses. Especially with nerds, a Vault Boy or Overwatch logo isn't hard to trace at all.

Oh poo poo I think you found an actual neat use case for my chinese death laser besides zapping eyeballs, I gotta buy a roll of contact paper and see if it cuts through it

Only if your car is complete garbage

If the key actually does turn to the off position while driving it can be very dangerous since you lose the brake assist when the engine dies so you have to push the pedal way harder to stop, and if you are really unlucky the steering wheel lock might also engage but even my rusty 17 year old VW Golf doesn't do that until you completely remove the key from the hole. I guess if the keyhole points downwards for some idiotic reason you probably shouldn't hang anything off it (and get a better car)

it's a total crapshoot even from name brands imo

some of them eat through the batteries in a week, some of them are too sensitive and start pumping soap when an insect flies through the beam at night, some of them pump way too much soap per time and won't stop when you remove your hands

let me know if you find a good one

That lock sits on top of the door/frame and not inside it so it's probably pretty easy to just slam your body against the door to bust it open like a badass.
Less easy if the door opens outwards.

I use a Danalock on my door for this reason, if the battery or motor fails it still works with the original key but it can alert my phone whenever the door is locked and unlocked so if someone picks the cylinder at least I know about it and can yell at them through the network cameras.

Ingesting magnets in any way is an incredibly bad idea because they will end up pinching tissue and cause internal bleeding, necrosis or sepsis.

You can get away with eating just one, but if you’re the kind of person liable to eat magnets you probably won’t stop after the first one.

Idiots ruining magnet toys for the rest of us :argh:
