Rodenthar Drothman posted:Drunk Kobayashi is kinda crazy. She's more like a force of nature when she's drunk. In the manga, we find out that Tohru had a magical sword stuck in her when Kobayashi first met her. Kobayashi shouldn't have been able to pull the sword out of her, or even touch it without going insane, but at the time she was too drunk to know or care about that and removed it without any problem.

Naughty by human standards! I was wondering how they were going to handle that in the anime.

Kanna is such a good girl, always caring about the people in her life. Zeruel posted:Wait a minute: The various reactions of the men and women in this audience are all hilarious. Zeruel posted:The best (weird?) part is that since she's cheering Shouta on behind them, they're ok with her living with them. They told everyone that Lucoa is Shouta's sister and everyone looked at her, looked at Shouta, and saw enough of a resemblance to believe it.

These were my two favorite parts of the manga, back-to-back in one episode. Shota really does care about Lucoa. That's so sweet.

That really was the perfect final episode for a show like this one. The distant, detached tone of life without Tohru really hit my heart. Hell, when she came back, I almost expected it to be Kobayashi dreaming, and I kept bracing for the part when she woke up. This was already my front runner for AOTS, but this episode definitely sealed the deal. Nitrousoxide posted:This scene was great. I love how much her actions conveyed without any words, but I hate the way it made me feel.

Grouchio posted:The glorious ending has left me quite depressed now that I think of it. To think that Kobayashi and Tohru's days are ultimately numbered, and to be reminded of it, is deeply saddening no matter how joyous the ending seems right now. Imagine a montage of Kobayashi growing old with an eternally young Tohru at her side as Queen's "Who wants to live forever?" plays.
