Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid is the latest Kyoani show. It's based off of a cute gag manga where an office lady gets drunk and invites a dragon back to her home. This dragon promptly becomes her maid and falls in love with her, and comedy ensues.

And they adopt another dragon, and it's super, super charming. :3:

Tohru seems to be your bog-standard western dragon, what with the living in caves/ruins/castles, fighting with humans, and the stereotypical green scales.

That said, something about her dragon form reminds me of the big dragon from Dragon Ball Z, so who knows.

........It would be easier to play off Lucoa's complete lack of morals and shame about showing her body to a child if Kobayashi also weren't 100% cool with it. Not a single "what are you DOING", and instead "yeah sure I guess she'll be a succubus to the kid for a while longer" :catstare:

e: I'm still watching, and gosh, Fafnir living with the otaku is just adorably cute. I'm still annoyed that to rec this to friends I'll have to add "and skip the first half of ep 6, it's bad", but...show's still good despite that part, so.

Otherwise you don't get to complain when it has something you didn't want to experience. Problem is you can't do that and be spoiler free at the same time. Pick your poison.

The IMDB parental guide section for a piece of work is a great source for this. It details without any context all of the objectionable material in a given work, yes, this includes anime series. Even with no context they still give away the fact certain things are going to happen so they do more or less spoil events. That's the price you pay for knowing exactly what you're going to get.

So when you see a show rated TV MA or a movie rated R or a game rate M or again anything above the lowest, safest rating for your country, that's a huge, loud, blaring, warning siren to stop and use discretion before proceeding any further. To make sure you know what you're in for because it is no one's fault but yours should you decide sink your teeth into that pumpkin cake with walnuts when you're allergic to walnuts. I didn't know! I didn't want to be spoiled! That's the price you pay for that fully blind first time experience.

There's a difference between a show rated for being mature and violent and so on, and between an adult woman literally mashing her boobs into a child's face, then attempting to seduce him. That's really creepy, and on a way different level from a panty shot.

Also, I don't think raising criticisms about a work is the same as whining about it. It's okay to look critically at the things you consume! It's okay to say to the chef in your restaurant that hey! Buddy! I ordered the spaghetti and it has sardines in it! And in this case, since Kyoani's not a restaurant, we then get to decide if we want to continue watching this show and risking seeing more pedophilia/assault jokes - or not.
