The Cards were awful a good chunk of my life, so a lot of folks I grew up with became Cowboys fans. And then if you're older and left Arizona before the Cardinals became decent, your connection feels tenuous.

It's hard to pin down the Cardinals fan because so many people in Phoenix are from elsewhere.

That plus the team history all but encourages just bandwagoning during the good years because in between it's all pain and sorrow and Kevin Kolb.
