You know we still have one of the best QBs in football, right

You keep talking like this season is going to be some massive meltdown nobody saw coming when pretty much everyone in this thread agrees it's gonna just be boring and average-y, with Russ dragging them to 8-8 or whatever. "Welp gonna be a transition year" is not the Earth-shattering revelation you keep making it out as.

the cardinals are never really terrible although with this being a bonafide tank year i'd be fine with being proven wrong.

the last year they went 4-12 or worse was 2003. in 2012 with the skelton/kolb/lindley/hoyer hydra and larod stephens howling shouldering the running load to a tune of 356 yards they went 5-12.

man this already feels like ancient history. the first 2 plays involved aaron hernandez and quentin groves

team-wise, i mean. there's huge question marks on offense, defense, special teams, the rest of the division is going to be a meat grinder, and it's a learning year for rosen. if we suck and look like we learned something and got out unscathed then i don't care.

Yeah, if bradford comes out getting hit like palmer on plays that look like palmer should be running them then the season suddenly starts to look bad, although there's no reason to expect that.

age though, all of the old guys except gresham are on a reasonable contract that's up in 1-2 years

that reminds me of when it took the cards going 0-6 or whatever before darnell dockett decided to help the enemy (o-linemen from his own team)

There are so many Kam Chancellor plays.
*Vernon Davis hit
*many INTs where he was shallow, QB thought he could throw over and ended up right in his hands
*2014 Divsional Round playoff game vs Carolina - Pick-6 TD and jumped over the Oline to block FG twice.
*Super Bowl vs Denver, physically dominating the Broncos. One of the first receptions the Broncos had, the WR thought he had room to run but was knocked backwards about 4 yards.

The LOB worked because everyone had a role and trusted the other to make the play. Sherman had right 1/3 of the field. Thomas had the deep half. Kam could play aggressive because he knew there was support and backup.

The lack of a label on the y axis is a big problem. The extreme swinginess of the NFL line suggests a very small sample size such that random variance had an outsized effect, and that in turn suggests too small of a sample size to draw a valid conclusion.

I suspect the too-small sample size is because this tracks only current and not former NFL players.

i'm gonna have to call my sports lawyer and have him read through all these takes about how the seahawks aren't tanking, didn't need those all pro bums, are going to be better next year, and are eyeing the future instead of excellence right now
