Shangri-Law School posted:Goodbye, RILLLLLEEEEEEEYYYY! What's the story on Riley? From the outside it appeared he needed some development to find his footing as a starter and settled in as an okay RT but not the LT it was hoped he'd be. Is he just okay? I imagine the Lions are paying a lot for Ricky Wagner and that seems surprising considering they had Rieff.

Going all MMQB on this, though, it sure is disappointing to look at the state of the offensive line and think about the wasted picks on trading up to draft Patterson and the poor return on Treadwell given the Vikings top two Wr are a 5th rounder and UDFA. e: holy poo poo https://twitter.com/MikeGarafolo/status/842112422055927812 WHOOPS fucked around with this message at 21:43 on Mar 15, 2017 |

https://twitter.com/RapSheet/status/903643845824524288 Not surprising but will be very interesting to see if the Vikings attempt to toll his contract for 2018, since this will keep him from playing past the Week 6 deadline.

Technically Berger is just shifting positions from C to RG but it's still crazy because I believe he, Nick Easton and Rashod Hill are the only ones who were even on the team last year. e: wait, nope, sorry, missed Jeremiah Sirles. Still, was a lot of turnover. It can only really go up but I feel like it won't seem like it the first few weeks.

Bradford (and Barr and Rhodes) are all listed as questionable for Sunday but expected to play vs the Steelers. Any of those guys being out dramatically reduces any chance the Vikings have to win.

I'll be bummed if Bradford's out because obviously i'd like to win but this does feel like an ideal game to sit him as a precaution if they're that concerned about his knee. Early in the season, non-conference away game... not going to be bummed if they lose (since they're rightly an underdog even with Bradford). certainly the right kind of irony that last season, with a ravaged line that couldn't block anything, Bradford didn't miss a snap, and then in one game he has a flare up even though the protection held up great and he took no noticeable hits.

Then we back into the playoffs and lose in embarrassing fashion in the Wildcard round. for real, like, we all know this ends with the Packers winning the NFC North and the #1 or #2 seed. the only saving grace is they'll lose in some satisfying way in the playoffs.

https://twitter.com/RapSheet/status/909789228413915136 I guess Bradford is having a "cartilage issue" and his return will be based on getting the swelling down. Like, Sam Bradford injury narrative and all, I'm still genuinely perplexed at how he took shot after shot last year without issue and it's after the one game where he was barely touched that something flared up.

https://twitter.com/SamEkstrom/status/910571117437489154 also Sam is day-to-day. Knee injury was apparently non-contact which started during the Saints game and felt worse as the game went out. so that's... a thing.
