As a Lions fan, after living through the Millen era, it's just nice to see someone else pick up the mantle of Division Clown Show.

IcePhoenix posted:Do the Lions really hate any teams in the division? They've always been the little brother that's just kind of there. Well, putting aside the setup that I just couldn't resist... There's actually only one team in the North that I genuinely hate. The Vikings. Though, if the Lions could manage to be competitive for more than a year at a time it'd probably be easy to develop a deep and visceral hatred for the Packers.

Are you loving high? Glennon won that game twice, his receivers hosed up.

I'll admit, I only watched the closing drive. But Glennon looked really solid and did basically everything he could to win that game on that drive.

The Lions haven't had an effective running game literally the entire time Stafford has played for them, nor have they had an effective defensive secondary for most, in not all of that time. He singlehandedly drug that team to wins last year, repeatedly. Is he overpaid, probably, but I don't understand what planet you're from to be arguing that he's "mediocre". I'd seriously consider the possibility that he's a Top 10 QB, regardless of the playoff results.

Shangri-Law School posted:On defense, a defensive line, the linebackers to get their act together. On offense, a running game. Special teams are good. This is pretty spot on. More specifically, need a pass rush on defense. On Offense we need a coaching overhaul. New coaching on the O Line and a running game specialist. I'm actually a little disappointed we beat Chicago. Just because every win from here on out increases the likelihood of retaining Caldwell.

Yeah, if you're ranking McMahon above Joey I'm just going to assume you don't actually remember what the Lions looked like before Harrington took over for McMahon.

After yesterday, I'm fairly certain that firing Caldwell is going to blow up in our faces. Firing Prince was the right move, and I think it was time to give up Cooter () but I think Caldwell deserved another year if he was willing to address the teams obvious flaws.

Man, the Lions backfield is going to be a bloodbath come the end of preseason. I wouldn't be surprised if they cut half the RBs they're carrying right now. And I'll bet Abdullah is a cut unless he really impresses.
