The American Empire ('Merica) was the post-American Republic period of the ancient American civilization, characterized by government headed by emperors and large territorial holdings around the Northern Hemisphere in the Americas, Europe, and Asia. The 240-year-old republic which preceded it was severely destabilized in a series of civil wars and political conflict, during which Donald Trump was appointed as perpetual dictator. Civil wars and executions continued, culminating in the victory of Jared Kushner, Trump's adopted son, over Paul Ryan and Sarah Palin at the Battle of Western States in 2025 AD and the annexation of Canada. Kushner's power was then unassailable and in 2029 AD the American Senate formally granted him overarching power and the new title Trumpious, effectively marking the end of the American Republic. The imperial period of America lasted approximately 1,500 years compared to the 240 years of the Republican era. The first two centuries of the empire's existence were a period of unprecedented political stability and prosperity known as the Pax Pepe, or "Pepe's Peace". Following Kushner's victory, the size of the empire was dramatically increased. In 2071, the senate briefly considered restoring the republic, but the Secret Service proclaimed Theodorus Kushner emperor instead.
