For a sidequest thats all about helping Michael Jackson make not-Thriller they sure made it a real unfun piece of poo poo to play, escort missions are garbage. Game still rules though. I beat Mr. Shakedown and now theres a 2nd one stalking the streets

for rush style is there any point to the charged triangle attack aside from looking cool? it takes forever to charge and once Kiryu is done he spends about 5 seconds regaining his composure, which is more than enough time to get my poo poo kicked in

mr. shakedown gets really loving tough after you beat him 4 times. He gets a running grab move that instantly kills you even on easy and it's pretty much impossible to dodge on like half the areas you can encounter him in. This whole mechanic sucks.

I never realized just how good Kiryu's fighting style in all the other yakuza games were until I unlocked the Legend style in 0. Tools for any situation, bounding throws are fun as hell, and the default fight music is great. I'm having a hard time switching to other styles now except for maybe Beast if there's a lot of stuff around.

you get ridiculously powerful if you do this btw like just filling out some of the attack upgades on a level 1 grid and the charge attacks from Rush style were demolishing Kiryu's final bosses on Hard mode.

Kiryu seems to have a new kind of counter where if you block at the exact moment an enemy attacks and press Triangle you do this jumping knee attack that does a ridiculous amount of damage Managed to take down the final boss' last health bar just by accidentally mashing that one out

The timing for Disco is really weird and the fact the squares constantly flash blue and red when 2 of your prompts are also blue and red really mess with your head Also the scores for winning are super inconsistent. I got 7000 against Ogita once and lost because he got 7600, then I got 6000 the next attempt and won because he only got 5600, poo poo's wonky

I liked the phone sex minigame if only for the thought that kiryu gets so anxious talking to girls on the phone he just shouts nonsensical poo poo. I only played it twice tho so I didn't get tired of it like everyone else did
