When I first heard of Hacksaw Ridge it was an ad about "a soldier who fights... without guns" and I thought it was a movie about a dude who charged the battlefield with only a hacksaw. I wish that was the truth.

Spotlight isn't a bad movie but I feel like there's something really strange about it winning Best Picture and nothing else. It's like, if we're not awarding movies based off of the things that make them movies, what are we awarding them for? A certain je ne sais quo? Even if they didn't want to give it to an action movie last year, Room was still more deserving.
