The whole point of voter suppression is that it makes voting harder to do, not bar people from doing it entirely. It only works when people aren't excited enough to vote where they'll jump through hoops or wait in a five hour line to do so and go home instead. The GOP can make voting as hard as they want to but people sufficiently angry enough to make their voice heard will find ways around it. American voters are massively polarized but don't turn out regularly, meaning that the side that's more excited to vote almost always wins. That's why the GOP has been so successful since 2008, because they had a common enemy in Obama and all the Dems were disillusioned from what a milquetoast centrist he turned out to be. Trump is an embarrassing trainwreck of a president that 60% of the country violently hates and the other 40% is quietly embarrassed of, meaning the GOP has an uphill battle in making sure that their voters feel as excited to defend Trump as Dems feel excited to stop him. And we haven't even gotten to the real fun poo poo, like the ACA repeal or cutting Medicare btw, most hardcore Trump supporters are not salt-of-the-earth impoverished rural voters but bougie middle class white people living in the suburbs that idolize the rural poor but mostly want lower taxes and browns out of their schools. I've spent enough time living in suburban Trump country to hope those fuckers lose everything when the market collapses

fun fact baby boomers didn't save any money for health care, they abuse medicare and have their physicians order expensive medical imaging for complications of being old that are only treated conservatively at best (i.e. don't need imaging for). Coincidentally I am not at all bitter about having to do all of these pointless studies every day while people with genuine health issues get denied for not jumping through the right insurance hoops. Compared to third party payers, medicare is a joke and is rampantly abused by both patients and physicians.
