Brietbart was doing much better when it could just rail against the evils of Barack Hussein Obama

Six months ago, Breitbart was riding the wave of the election, plotting an international expansion to provide a platform to spread far-right, populist views in Europe. But today, Breitbart is facing traffic declines, advertiser blacklists, campaigns for marketers to steer clear and even a petition within Amazon for it to stop providing ad services.

There were just 26 brands appearing on Breitbart in May, down from a high of 242 in March, according to MediaRadar, which tracks ads on websites. Many conservative sites, including Townhall, The Blaze and National Review, have also had declines, although those declines are much less pronounced than Breitbart, according to MediaRadar.

Right now, the Republican Party has been hijacked by its extreme base — leaving a number of people, just like me, with no place to go. This is a unique opportunity for the Democratic Party to fill that void, but it can only happen if Democrats make an honest effort.

This guy doesn't really understand that political parties are supposed to have principles (at least in theory).

It reminds me of the article about a leader of some 2nd amendment thing (Oathkeepers maybe) that was ostensibly founded for the protection of the right to bear guns but under the coating it was just racist bullshit. Trouble is, they didn't explicitly say it and this guy apparently didn't get the memo. He went down to Ferguson and started talking to the protesters, listened to their grievances, wanted to bring them into the organization, train them in weapons handling etc. I guess and got a hell of a cold shower when his compatriots just looked at him like he was a bit funny in the head.
So he left the organization and I think he's either out of it or founding his own thing, can't remember.

Except this guy sounds like someone you can maybe reach out to depending on his economic outlook while the "I worked for Breitbart" guy is hopeless.

Alabama autoworkers are still trying to sort out the details of what happened last month, when the carmakers shut down for several weeks and the UAW stopped paying wages. "We're not happy because we weren't given a deadline," Lutz says. Ford said it was "fully aware" of the situation, but didn't take a position.

There's a chance it'll be even worse, with a series of legal challenges, and maybe even a lawsuit. "These things go on behind closed doors," Ford says. For all we know, the problem might turn out to be widespread.

Meanwhile, there are still signs of hope, on both sides of the industry. In the U.S., GM recently announced its latest model, the 2012 Chevrolet Corvette, will come with 3,500 UAW miles on the battery and 10,000 for the engine. The automaker also said it's committed to working with workers to keep them employed during the shutdown. The C6 was one of the last cars on the market built without GM's optional automatic transmissions (and with no warranty coverage, which is usually required of all new cars produced between 2003 and 2010).

The UAW recently announced it would help pick up workers who have lost their jobs for economic reasons.

"It's a good thing," says Chris Dickson, the UAW International president in Michigan
