Giant Bomb played a little of this on their Friday stream and when you play as the monster in multiplayer it has a big swinging dick.

The best thing to come of this was how in Alan Wake there's a TV playing an in world interview with Sam Lake (the lead designer at Remedy and the guy they used for Max's face in MP1) and he's asked to "make the face." Which he then proceeds to do.

One has to wonder, following their internal logic, what all the people involved in the process do if no decisions are to be made about quality or content.

Plus as I argued on their comments, that they aren't willing to be a final QA service doesn't excuse the fact that there is no effective elective QA service, you either get the highest promoted stuff or you get volumes of poo poo, or you get their useless automated recommendation system which for the past several years has mostly recommended me the same poo poo because it forgets after a month or two that you said you weren't interested. None of which are capable of picking out less advertised yet good titles from the ocean of sewage.

My favorite "Steam Recommends" thing is when it is populated with games that you literally cannot buy. I've had it give me Alan Wake and the original State of Decay, which are two games that are not currently for sale on Steam.

There's a new Leisure Suit Larry game, if that counts.

So does this also have a part where a bunch of Kickstarter backers are hanging out for you to talk with and they're all super cool?

Giant Bomb played that House Party game once before it got pulled from Steam. It has a button to just pull your dick out and start jackin it.

Okay, for all I know this game might just turn out to be perfectly decent, but I only really got as far as "Early Access multiplayer open-world zombie survival game". I mean, still? Who still looks at the market and decides we still need another one of these loving things? This one in particular seems to have decided the particular improvement the genre needs is absolutely :spergin: levels detail on the most inane poo poo:

:psyduck:

I definitely have my doubts as to how much of this complexity is actually being modeled and how much is just very shallow interactions.

The funniest thing about Steam's new porn game rules is how they have to list out everything that happens in a sexual way so you get really basic descriptions of all the sex scenes. Play a game and count how many times the phrases "distraught" or "without clear consent" appear.

My only actual concern with these low-effort hentai puzzlers is that most of them are surely using other people's art without their permission.

Like this kinda approach can't be legal, right?

I don't know about breaking any laws but it is definitely something that can get them sued into oblivion.

There was a funny story that came out of a recent Pax where Patrick Klepek was playing a "demo" which was apparently the full game because they forgot he was there or something and he was able to play it for over an hour.

All they gotta do is make it give you special store-exclusive hats when you purchase games on there and the Epic Store will succeed

The current thing they're doing to try and get people to come use the store is they're giving away a free game every two weeks.

Mafia 1 rules despite some jankiness like the NPC not reacting to anything while driving.

It's one of my favourite games ever.

Mafia 1 at release had a pretty broken bit with the race you have to do fairly early. You're made to do a race in an old timey racecar, which is fairly long and easy to crash but you have to win.
