ive never lived in dallas but ive lived in houston, san antonio, austin and the hill country and austin is by far the best place in tx to live in and its not even close. and for some reason the only people i ever meet with an actual grudge against austin (aside for conservative suburban chuds mad about liberals) are from dfw.

They try to hide it, but it's there just as much as anywhere else. you can find tea party assholes in every city in america my dude, hell probably loving berkeley if you looked hard enough. as a proportion of the population austin still is gonna have less than anywhere else in the state aside for the border. austin def has a race problem and is white as gently caress compared to the rest of texas, which is mostly due to the lovely gentrification and tech/out of state migration thats happened last couple of decades.
