I'm in something like the third chapter, and I can take or leave the j-pop. It's the rest of the game that's so charmingly earnest, and the effort put into the little things that make it a winner.

I think my favorite part of the whole affair is Itsuki's reaction to the various beverages. There's a rotating selection here, and at a couple other. Vending machines around town, and he has a food review on every single one. No matter how bizarre the drink, Itsuki has something complimentary to say about it. It's the tiniest thing, but it adds a fair amount of personality to Our Hero, Blandman, and is emblematic of the effort put into the game.

I haven't gotten more than one or two dungeons further in the game, but if memory serves you can pick a primary target for your AoE moves. If that primary target is vulnerable, you session regardless of weaknesses in the rest of the enemy group.
