Ochowie posted:Do the ads that are listed in that grid only show up when using the "smart" functionality or is it as bad as the Samsung picture where you will see ads when you change the volume? If it's the latter then WTF? Some of those TVs are > $3000 and I would be pissed to see that kind of intrusive advertising after shelling out that kind of money. i have the top tv on that chart (not bragging or anything heh 😏) and the ad is easy to ignore and kinda relevant. its about movies that you can watch on one of the apps bundled in with the tv. its on the left of the main menu takes like 5-10% of the width maybe 3 years from now theyll start putting viagra ads in there but for now its not bad

Ochowie posted:Can you see the ads while using an input source other than the TV's smart app launcher (e.g. when using a set top cable box, Apple TV, ROKU, etc..)? If the answer is yes, then I think that's wrong. If the TVs built-in launcher for HBO GO displays an ad I don't care but if the volume control does I do. If the TV displays ads randomly while I watch cable TV then it's going straight back to where I bought it. the ad is on the app launcher only
