Did you guys get the float thing, that really makes a difference in the learning curve at least until you get a better handle on the mechanics.

I got a handle on it just fine, and in fact preferred the basic blast to the float blast before long, I just didn't like it

I had a blast with Toukiden and didn't care much for the God Eater games, so you might want to consider it. Toukiden is definitely more of a streamlined and action-y game without the fiddly stuff of Monster Hunter like traps and weapon sharpening if that is a factor for you, but the weapons all feel good and varied and the setting and designs are cool. Flying enemies that you spend a lot of time chasing are still pretty annoying, though.

Eh what the hell, I'll give it a looksee since I've got some steam funbucks to blow anyway

PC. Try flipping the "stabilization" option. I remember I was having occasional crashes with it on, but turning it off fixed it, though I haven't run it for a while. I don't remember having framerate or other graphical issues either way though, and I was on an older computer at the time.

Yeah none of that's working for me, it's a crash happy laggy butt unfortunately. Oh well, this is what steam refunds are for I suppose.

Alwa's awakening is a cute little metroidvania that's more on the puzzle/platformer side of the genre. It's a bit short, but absolutely worth playing if you don't mind paying :10bux: for a game that's only 5h long.

Does the ludicrously slow movement of the player character ever change 'cos I got through the first boss and just gave up

Probably has to do with possibly having thyroid cancer in my case, they're taking the whole shebang out in a couple months

In theory though my thyroid being broke would explain an awful lot about my health according to my doctors so even if it turns out the bumps are benign losing the thing could be a net win anyway?????
