my girlfriend's sarnsung drier somehow managed to eat an entire sock through the drum seal and lodged it on the inside. its so terrible at containing lint that a 1/2" mat of it formed on the inside and almost started a fire.

so what you're telling me is I shouldn't bother finishing my basement and make sure my fire coverage is up to date.
|
# ? Feb 8, 2017 22:42 |

maybe they'll break at the same time and the water from the drum snapping and exploding at 1500rpm will put out the dryer fire

i dont understand why people buy things from companies that make a million other things, for example a samsung washer or dryer. why would you not buy a Maytag? the only fuckin thing they make are washers and dryers and if they gently caress that up they're done. reminds me of people who bought Polaroid TVs in the mid 00s

They wouldn't have been my first choice, but I didn't buy them. There's no doubt I'll have to replace them sooner than later.

I bought a sarnsung oven with this flexduo thing where its dual compartment partition that's removable. Limits the temp differential you can keep between the two sides (like 100F gradient max) but it gives a lot more internal volume than the standard double-door with a permanent partition design that everybody else is doing. sometimes they do something clever that the other manufacturers haven't figured out but then they gently caress it all up with some kind of critical design flaw.

I don't entirely trust a consumer electronics company to make quality home appliances. they're completely different specialisations.

kenmore is largely whatever manufacturer sears decides to contract out and are nearly identical to models from other manufactures, just a rebadge job. sears is a clusterfuck and you should stay away unless you like getting hosed over on warranties and service

they're relatively cheap and any given model may or may not actually have the features claimed on the box, depending on what production run it was see: 4k 4:4:4 UHD colour full HD 3D etc. at best the 8xxx and 9xxx series will usually get firmware fixes or buybacks where necessary, anything lower, you're on your own
