I'm ready for the Mariners to finish a couple of games out of the Wild Card and miss the postseason for the 16th consecutive year!

I am mildly interested at the outcome of deciding the Jays bullpen.

But not the Mariners!!

I think I now understand why so many religions have come out of the same text.

Because if the DH is wrong, I don't want to be right.

I honestly hope he hits a dinger, just for the story it'll generate.

And then I hope the Cards trade him back to the Cubs.

Looking at ticket prices, looks like I'll be watching a lot baseball on MLB.tv this year!

I'm going to the Mariners' home opener for the first time this year!

I got to watch the Angels' hopes of a winning season end on the second game of the season last year. I don't have plans to go to the opening series just yet but will probably start thinking about it once it gets closer to the season. Home opener being so much more expensive sucks.

Oh thanks for reminding me.

The Angels open at home against the Mariners, which means the Mariners are winning the World Series this year.

How big a mistake have I made?

Because he'd toss one at a rookie for bat flipping on him? Are you guys that soft?

I'm all for bat flips and celebrating and poo poo talking, it makes the game more fun for the viewer, but if you're a young gun doing that to a pitcher you know exactly what you're signing up for.

Maybe you should try not being such an rear end in a top hat that you need to physically hurt someone who's celebrating?

The Yankees' announcer's "SEEYA" is also terrible.

But to be fair, the Mariners' announcer has some pretty terrible home run calls too.

Buck Martinez is one of the few good home run announcers I've heard.

Maybe its my Canadian upbringing which might be more European family style view towards drinking, but the fact Bryant hadn't ever had a drink even as a 20+ year old MLB pro seems really dorky and possibly creepy religious or sheltered. It would be very weird for a high school senior to not have an occasional drink or two here in Canada, even the nerds or dorks. I hope he's not saving himself for marriage too, haha.

edit : Is he Mormon or Jehovas' Witness?

America's drinking age is 21 and while most high school students start drinking, not all of them do.

There are even some of us who don't drink at all, baffling as that might be.

That being said, of all the people to forgoe alcohol completely, a pro athlete is the one that has the most money riding on it , and makes the most sense. Just hard to imagine an average guy not having a single drink in college or whatever.

I've tried alcohol and I haven't found any type of alcoholic drink that I like the taste of, so I don't drink at all.

Even in college.
