I'm ready for another season of Cubs baseball, regardless of the outcome. Of course, I prefer at least a playoff spot again, but I know better than to tempt fate with how injury lucky they were last year.

At the low end of the Babe Ruth league we had as a kid, they used a pitching machine and a kid had to man a position around it as "pitcher". We also center left and center right fielders. Those days were fun because I was a singles/doubles monster.

Jon Lester doesn't do an IBB in the standard way. The catcher has to setup like usual, just way outside. So the king of yips says it does matter.

Pat Hughes's "It's got a chaaaance...GONE!" works pretty well. I also like that Len Kasper doesn't have a set call, though they're usually punctuated by "Gone!" or "Outta here!"
