This film is incredible. It's astonishing that a film can be so self-serious and at the same time completely aware of how hilariously ludicrous it is. I was laughing all the way though the sequence where Wick returns to New York and every third random passerby he sees is another assassin out to get him, leading up to the reveal that the entire homeless population of NY are yet another secret league of assassins. And I was definitely laughing with the film, not at it. The best action film I've seen in years.
