There's an episode of TNG were Geordi is being mind controller to commit an assassination, and Data discovers this at the last second and tells Worf to go stop Geordi, but Worf is stopped by some body guards and so Geordi almost does the assassination. But Data should have just been able to say "Computer, stun Geordi. Authorization 75485420" and then Geordi would have been stopped immediately. Also, there's an episode where Deanna is assaulted on board the Enterprise in her quarters. She should have been able to just say "Computer, emergency shield on me" and then the computer puts a shield around her. Or something like that.
