The oldest one i know of off the top of my head is Ivan the Terrible: Part II but thats pretty late into the game and there were undoubtedly multipart releases starting from the 10s to get people coming back to the nickelodeon

Sneeze harder The Naughty Suffragette 2 Edit: I was joking but in 1894 William Dickson released/made "Amateur Gymnast, no. 2". That's probably going to be it. The same year you also have "Cock Fight, no. 2" if you need an arc/story in order to count as a "movie". Honorable mention goes to "Walter and Slavin" numbers 1-4. Sanshiro Sugata Part II is probably a good example of what the OP is asking about though bc it has almost nothing to do with the first movie and was kind of like a branding move to get people to see what was essentially a propoganda flick about how much stronger japanese men are than americans
