I make jewelry as a hobby, have for a decade, but much prefer drawing which I started to do a couple years ago when I found a way to combine them. I made the card, earrings (gold fill and tourmaline) and drew the Christmas tree branch with eyeliner.

Never really tried to draw anything properly before, turns out it's kind of fun. Don't particularly want to date him, but doesn't look "wonky."

Well I had a heck of a day. Someone posted a pic in my thread and said they did it using Note on their phone, I didn't know about that, and drew my first ever computer type pictures. What a blast! Here's Van Gogh's Two Peasant Women in the Peat Fields

The flaming lip posted:I don't know if this is the right place to ask, but I'm looking to transition to digital drawing (I'll post my analog stuff later!) but I'm wondering what the cheapest/most efficient way of getting in to digital drawing is. I'm buying a laptop this week and I'd like to be able to draw on it. What're some good options/resources/places to look? I don't know where to begin. Holy crap. I have the same EXACT question.

To add one note to the innate talent/work comments: You also have to have the will and dedication to stick to one thing. Any artistic thing I can do reasonably well right away, and then improve exponentially for a bit, but instead of refining that skill into a truly high level I always move on to something else, some "new" aspect of craft because the thrill of learning/doing something new is such a RUSH. It's a problem.(I have so much art stuff I may be found dead someday, suffocated by supplies.)
