Pissflaps posted:A fascinating statistic This isn't unexpected. Labour's stance on Brexit is likely to prevent loss to UKIP but as I said when they adopted it, cause them to haemorrhage votes to the Lib Dems. Unsurprisingly for a lot of Remain voters, staying in the EU is a big enough topic that they'll hold their nose at things they dislike about the Lib Dems.

They should ostensibly claim not to support it, but do literally nothing to prevent it and then blame the Tories for the breakup of the Union.

So to the guy who thinks we'll have more trade. TM went to India to gain more trade for the country. You know what India's criteria for that was? More lax controls on Indian immigration, which they absolutely know the Tory government can't accept. India can afford to do that because Britain is worth gently caress all for their trade and spoilers, so can literally every other world economy outside the EU. The UK is going to go to a bunch of countries cap in hand and hope people offer them a favourable trade deal because we're worthless to them. Instead we could have been at the head of the EU and represented the highest concentration of wealth in the world. But clearly that's a poor negotiating position.
