 I think Trump did it. He's done it before, and 2005 info was already out there via NYT and WSJ stories. It's only a 1040, and whomever has presumably access to the document has access to the rest of it, so why only leak the 1040 if you really wanted to get him? It just sounds good, but there's nothing really there. It makes Maddow, and by extension the media, look desperate. This is all on the eve of some real poo poo kicking off with the FBI and this Russia poo poo.

I'm not sure what the Democrat strategy is to reach these people in 2018/2020. I think personally most people who went Trump are a lost cause. I personally believe the Democratic strategy should instead focus on getting people who would normally vote R to be disillusioned and stay home (because they lost their healthcare, still have no jobs, and their life isn't objectively better), while maximizing turn out of everyone else, especially those who lean Democratic.
