The idea that some people think Bloodborne has severe performance issues blows my mind. Is there a perceptible drop in framerate in a few places? Sure. Perceptible. Does it impact your ability to okay the game at all? No. To me, severe performance issues implies actual lag. Which plenty of games have.

Yeah I'm pretty wary of making quake a class-based shooter. But I don't really play those kinds of games anymore, so it doesn't really matter to me. I won't play quake on a console, and I don't play pc twitch shooters. I'm done with that part of my life.

I mean, I'm an addict. I can get addicted to anything. But multiplayer twitch shooters take over my entire life. They coopt my entire brain reward system. With single player games, casual games, alcohol, drugs, tv shows, i can juggles those with the rest of my life. But multiplayer twitch shooters on PC I can't do at the same time as being a functioning adult. Like, this week I drank 15 liters of box wine and played about 60 hours of Horizon Zero Dawn, but I also aced a midterm and did a bunch of homework.

Yeah like, I had to take a break from overwatch. By virtual of playing it on ps4, and being class-based, it wasn't really the crack that Quake 3, CS:S and UT2k4 were for me, but I could feel it starting to takeover. And it's not just that I play them constantly, my mindset changes when I play those games. I become really serious and competitive and lose perspective about things and I don't like how it feels to be thinking that way all the time. It coopts my ability to set goals and prioritize life choices by moving them all inside the game. I set gameplay goals rather than life goals. Basically, I'm real dumb. But I'm working with what I got.

Beverage would be another class, which would implement drinkable, because all beverages are drinkable. Some things, like antifreeze, would implement drinkable, but are not beverages.

PS4 has Overcooked (or, as my and my roommates call it "Choppy Game!"), which will not only teach children the value of teamwork, but it has controls for two people to use the same controller. Like, on person uses the right half of it, one person uses the left half. We have never tried this, because it sounds like a control scheme invented to troll people.

I have not played Papers Please. I did play that game where you're the editor of a newspaper under an oppressive regime and you have to choose whether you should be part of the propaganda machine or help fuel the flames of the revolution. I don't remember what it was called, but I liked it.
