Markov-Weber is a D-pairing. So if one is getting decreased use, they're both getting decreased use.

Also, fun fact about the Habs for all of HAS: Emelin got punted into a D-pairing with Nesterov, and is likely the 7th D for the game against the Canucks.

I'm not sure why, but the Habs D-pairings no longer look like absolute garbage.
(We'll ignore the fact Ott is almost certainly a 4th liner for the remainder of this season).
Uggggh seeing Davidson-Petry together reminds me of all the terrible player management decisions the Oilers have made. Gives me heartburn.

Casinos will definitely be comping people to hockey games.

There was talk on a sports radio show in Columbus yesterday about how the NFL will work in Vegas and one suggestion was road trips for fans. The example they used was a Browns fan wanting to see the Browns in December, but tying it into a trip to Las Vegas. I could definitely see a Florida/Tampa-style number of visiting NHL jerseys at Golden Knights games for the same reason, especially with fans who travel well and in numbers.

e- How easy will it be for visiting fans? With new Delta service to Orange County starting in April, Las Vegas has non-stop air service to every NHL city except Ottawa, and some of them have more than one airline operating the route (i.e., Columbus-Las Vegas on Frontier and Southwest): https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/McCarran_International_Airport#Airlines_and_destinations
It will literally be cheaper to fly from western Canada and see your local team play the Knights in Vegas than it is to see them at home. Plus, the Knights will suck so your team will probably win!

I've tacked on an Oilers game in a previously-arranged trip to Florida; the flight makes it prohibitively expensive (from this side of the continent) if that's the only reason you're going, though. But you can get a flight to Vegas for like $200.
