It's cool to see how much he's improved in directing action. It was the weakest part of Hot Fuzz, but he made huge leaps and abounds in Scott Pilgrim and even in The World's End.

I'd say there's not necessarily a correlation between rewatchability and quality, or at least that it's not a barometer. I've rewatched 'Conan the Barbarian' a lot more times than 'Casino' but I'm under no illusions about which is the better film.

The World's End is more ambitious than either Shaun or Hot Fuzz, which are both incredibly well done executions of extremely thematically and narratively simple stories.

...Conan? Is the answer Conan?

Okay, bad example, since Conan does genuinely own bones. Okay, I've rewatched Casino three times over the years, to show it to people who've not seen it and I know they wouldn't sit down and watch a three hour operatic hyper violent gangster movie unless I supervised them. I've also rewatched the terrible Dolph Lundgren vehicle 'Red Scorpion' three times because it's a perfectly acceptable bit of nonsense to have on in the background, or to zone out to while hungover.

poo poo, even the third act of Hot Fuzz is really disappointing compared to the rest of it.

I'm very keen to see this. I got to interview Debbie Evans, stunt driver extraordinaire, and she said this is the film who's stuntwork really impressed her, doing things she's never seen before, and she's been doing it since the 70s. Does it have the usual Edgar Wright thing of whimsical humour mixed with shocking violence?

That's okay. And the shocking violence?
