Megasabin posted:The World's End was significantly worse than Shaun or Hot Fuzz. Attempting to tackle themes like becoming an adult and alcoholism didn't really made the story any deeper or more interesting, but it did make it less funny and slower paced. Yeah, same. I liked the premise, the execution much less so.

What does being a "bicoastal Canadian" mean?Snowman_McK posted:I'd say there's not necessarily a correlation between rewatchability and quality, or at least that it's not a barometer. I've rewatched 'Conan the Barbarian' a lot more times than 'Casino' but I'm under no illusions about which is the better film. ...Conan? Is the answer Conan? raditts fucked around with this message at 18:54 on Mar 29, 2017 |

Junior Jr. posted:So the protagonist, Baby, listens to music to get into his getaway car vibes...and looking back to this Mint Royale video, the getaway driver (played by Noel Fielding) uses CDs instead of a watch to count how long a bank robbery's taking. Using music to keep track of how long a robbery takes goes back at least as far as Hudson Hawk.

Yeah, reminds me of when some family brought a baby and a kid that couldn't have been older than 3 or 4 to see Deadpool. Not sure what the gently caress they were thinking, it's not as though the ads weren't upfront about what kind of movie it was gonna be.
