AHHHHHH I GOT IT! C. "b" sabara => sahara (desert) Both "desert" and "dessert" are used in the text of the riddle. That's a clue! You sneaky granny, Kumasawa! witchcore ricepunk fucked around with this message at 17:04 on Oct 8, 2017 |

Tired Moritz posted:if this is the answer, I would be kinda annoyed. My guess is that the use of "desert" in the riddle text is more than just a typo.

It's ok ZD--I was literally lying in bed, mouthing all the letter variations for this riddle until I came up with something that actually resembled a word. My own sanity is not a given here.

I really like how the background dessert image is different here: it looks a bit more sophisticated. I wonder why they changed it? Regardless, it's a brilliantly subtle act of misdirection to include a pastry.

Well, there's that standard one that I heard a lot as a kid: You have 10 apples and you take away 4—how many do you have left? 10, dummy! edit: the fact that I initially wrote this riddle incorrectly speaks to how awful I am at numbers. Arrgh! witchcore ricepunk fucked around with this message at 23:24 on Oct 10, 2017 |

D. 4! edit: just saw everybody's posts. just blame Eva! It's funny to imagine how someone would vocalize "_th" in English. Blankth? It's funny because in Japanese the counting word for "floor" doesn't really vary: it's just "kai." Ikkai (1), nikai (2), sankai (3), yonkai (4), gokai (5). I'm curious about how the Japanese version of this one goes. witchcore ricepunk fucked around with this message at 15:26 on Oct 12, 2017 |

Whoa, this riddle is basically everything I ate yesterday. Creepy. I don't think the solution is some weird numbers poo poo--it's gotta be wordplay. Edit: one thing that is interesting is that all of the items are easy examples of strong flavors. Notice that none of them taste similar to the others. Salty, sweet, sour, spicy... and bitter. So I'm gonna go with D. I Maybe this is why I have indigestion today. Yuck. witchcore ricepunk fucked around with this message at 18:05 on Oct 14, 2017 |

idonotlikepeas posted:Interesting that they went for P for spicy instead of M for umami. (Since A for savory would already be taken.) Ooh, M - Miso soup would be a good one for that.

E. 8 though I wouldn't advise it. I'm surprised at how dark this one is!

ZiegeDame posted:E. 8 It's not really contained in the riddle, but we do know how big the big the VIP room is relative to the trip to get there. I guess the goat killing accounts for the two extra minutes it takes to bring the gold up.
