the answer to the question is because liberals aligned themselves fully behind the Democratic party, which cares not at all about poor people, quite the opposite really. Wouldn't you love to know what Hillary said to the wall st bankers she met with? Poor people can't afford to make Hillary worth $300m so why on earth would she not hate them? In addition to everything claimed so far, liberals get pissed at the poor because the poor tend to be distrustful of the almost religious belief that some kind of technological miracle is going to redeem the whole system and save us all not just from the negative effects of the system, but the hard reality of being a finite being. You see it so often; the liberal defending capitalism because it's led to all of these, for example, new medical technologies (that you can't afford), as if it would be somehow worse to have universally accessible non cutting edge medical technology. Even the liberals who can't themselves afford the poo poo that's being developed are for the system that makes it, because they enjoy thinking about it existing. Addiction to novelty is blinding us. But just you wait, you guys. We just need to keep eating poo poo a little while longer while a tiny minority reap all the benefits and, one day, the utopian nanobots they develop will blanket the world and make everything ok forever.
