i stopped watching the daily show after jon stewart left. i can't believe he'd give up such an influential position because there was no way he'd ever approach that level of relevancy ever again. i was bummed to see him go. i tried watching trevor noah but i couldn't get into him. there was something about him that just didn't resonate with me politically; he was like the first wave of the modern democrats and i could tell i wouldn't be as interested in his choice of issues and perspectives.

still bummed about colbert. the report was really unique and funny. it was less serious so the issues didn't matter as much, but as a pure political comedy show that worked it had its place. sad to him take his act elsewhere and end up just doing report-lite anyway
