I had a thought but I'm sure it is way too ambitious the guitar solo from "another brick in the wall" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9isCzW3A8Ww I haven't listened to that thing in years but for some reason I think it would be awesome picked mixing the solo with the harmony behind it obviously the bends would be tricky but I think you could do without them this dude has some of the feel down (mixing the melody and harmony), but he's not doing the solo https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S6mUjuIwoW8 here's the solo acoustically at least https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rZeNyPkhbP8 |

It would be a waste of money. Please learn these songs so that I may live vicariously through you. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kBNOVhWo5Hg A very impressive banjoing https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jxBKgOyMzSc Rocky Road to Dublin https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hlWTASnnft4 Whiskey in the Jar Also we could buy balalaikas I guess. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OvWWVub9cc4 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IRTtefzlmRU

i think here comes the sun is probably a good banjo song. my uncle took the old 4 string gibson banjo that we have from my grandma's family to a music shop a few months ago to see if it could be made playable. i haven't heard back about it, but i will try learning something on it if it can. |

cda posted:is that really true It's absolutely true, it's one of the reasons why their sound is so weird and unique. Most of the licks and chord progressions he writes are banjo pickings/ progressions. It makes a lot of sense when you really listen to their weird licks they come up with, especially from blood mountain on. Divinations even has a short banjo intro that is just wonderful: https://youtu.be/uxelXPg961M |
